The 2019 boat show season began with a bang at the Miami Yacht Show (14-18 February), where Silver Fox designed by Francesco Paszkowski was displayed for the first time in the US. The 48m T-Line yacht also a star of the Palm Beach International Boat Show (28-31 March) and received a constant stream of visitors at the Palm Harbor Marina.

Fort Lauderdale, Miami and Palm Beach figure strongly in Baglietto’s corporate strategy as the US market continues to grow: “The United States, and in general the Americas, are the most important market for us after the European one,” continues Michele Gavino. “This is why we have opened our second office in Fort Lauderdale and entrusted it to Grant Henderson, a professional with an in-depth knowledge of the local market.”

Immediately after the US shows came the Dubai International Boat Show (26 Feb–2 March), followed by the Versilia Yachting Rendez Vous in Viareggio (9-12 May). On home territory, the Baglietto team together with CCN and Bertram was out in force once again with a fleet that included the T-Line displacement yacht Only One, 43m Pachamama (the first built of the new Fast Line range), the MV13 powerboat inspired by the wartime MAS boats, and the FFC15 military patrol vessel.



28 June, La Spezia. The third hull (#10233) in the 48-metre T-Line series designed by Francesco Paszkowski arrived at the Baglietto shipyard in La Spezia for fitting out. Sistership to Silver Fox and Andiamo, the displacement yacht is being built on spec and is for sale with delivery scheduled for 2021.

The steel hull and aluminium superstructure were towed from our supplier’s facility in Pisa, where most of the heavy welding takes place, down the Navicelli channel to the open sea and then up the coast to the yard in La Spezia.

During the Monaco Yacht Show, we will be presenting an interior design proposal for the yacht created in conjunction with our brand partner Visionnaire.

15-16 July, La Spezia: we invited 18 brokers from the top brokerage houses to spend two days with staff from Baglietto and CCN. During their time in La Spezia, they were able to tour the yachts in build (10233, 10232 and 10231) and extend their knowledge of the brand. The shipyard visit was followed by a convivial dinner party.

In addition, group activities were organised under the leadership of three designers currently working with Baglietto: Horacio Bozzo, Santa Maria Magnolfi and Enrico Lumini representing the Hot Lab studio. The brokers were tasked with designing their own ‘ideal Baglietto’ by proposing new and innovative solutions that respond to the needs of the market.

These interactions resulted in three new concepts: the 43m explorer ‘Coco’ by Santa Maria Magnolfi, 54m ‘Marmite’ by Horacio Bozzo, and 50m ‘W’ by Hot Lab. All three concepts provided invaluable feedback for the shipyard, but project ‘W ‘was announced the most original and innovative.
